Know who to call. Know what to share.

Call about a new concern

If your child develops dental pain, swelling, a broken tooth or an injury to the mouth, contact a dentist promptly for advice. Explain what happened, when it began and whether symptoms are changing. Do not assume the next routine checkup is the appropriate time to discuss an injury.

Help the office understand

Have your child’s age, relevant medical history and medication information ready. Describe the location of the concern and any recent fall, collision or dental treatment. Ask how urgently your child needs to be evaluated and where to go if the office cannot see them.

Availability needs confirmation

Call (818) 343-9119 to ask about availability. This site does not promise same-day treatment, after-hours coverage or a 24-hour emergency service. If the office is closed, follow the instructions provided by your dental or medical care team.

Questions after an injury visit

Ask what changes to watch for, whether follow-up is needed and how the injury might affect future dental care. Keep any written instructions and call if you are unclear about the plan.

Preparing for the unexpected

Save the office phone number and ask during a routine visit whom to contact outside office hours. Parents can also ask about dental protection for their child’s activities and where to obtain appropriate advice.
